Frank E. Holmes, Jr. of Steubenville, passed away quietly at Valley Hospice on June 20, 2012.

Frank was one of four children born to the union of his late parents Frank, Sr. and Lilly Bell (Caco) Holmes. He was born on January 1, 1931, in Avella, PA.

He met and married his first wife Sarah and their union bore five children. After her passing; he met and married Barbara, his current wife of more than twenty years. He was a retiree of Wheeling Pitt Steel and a Veteran of the United States Army. He served his country proudly during the Korean Conflict Era.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, an infant son; Jefferson and a brother; Lawson Holmes.

He is survived by his dear wife, Barbara, three sons; Frank, III (Claudia), Brian (Carrie) and Jerome, one daughter; Ursula (Greg) Fisher, a brother; Lewis C., a sister Margaret (James) Haynes, grand and great grandchildren, step children, a host of other relatives and dear friends.

Funeral Service is Monday, June 25, 2012 at the funeral home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at 10:00AM. Rev. Patricia Angel will officiate.
